Shock Absorber-Specific Bolts and Washers

Hex Head Bolt
Large Circular Washer (Aluminum or Steel, with Black Anodized Finish)

1. Bolt (Shock Absorber Bolt)
Used to secure the shock absorber to the chassis and control arm (or swingarm).
It must withstand significant impact and vibration from the road surface.

2. Large Washer
Load Distribution: Prevents the nut or bolt head from directly compressing the suspension components, which could cause localized deformation.

￭ Adjustment of Installation Height or Position (when used as a thick washer ): In some modified shock absorber setups, the washer can be used to fine-tune the mounting angle or ride height.
￭ Prevents Bolt Loosening or Component Wear: Provides additional stability and protection.
￭ Enhanced Durability: Shock mounting points experience high stress; using high-tensile bolts and large washers helps prevent metal fatigue or cracking.
￭ More Secure Installation: Washers increase the contact area, making the shock absorber installation more stable and reducing noise and movement.
￭ Component Surface Protection: Washers prevent the bolt head from directly wearing against the suspension surface, extending component life.
